Communion Meditation and Prayer
Text: 1 Cor. 11:26 – For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you do show the Lord’s death until he comes…
Acts 2:42 – And they continued steadfast in the breaking of bread…
By staying steadfast in our remembrance of the sacrificial death of Christ on the Cross and His Resurrection from the grave. We are saying to Jesus Christ himself, “Thank You! For the opportunity.”
And to a dying world, we are saying, come you are weary and feed on the bread of life. Come and be part of the celebration of the Lord and Savior of all mankind through all ages, Jesus Christ.
Above all, let us remember that is Christ who extends the invitation and He knows the name of everyone who an appearance at His table every Sunday.
Then last but not least, we show those in the body of Christ that we are in Comm-union with them even if we are not sitting next to one another.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord. Thank you for the opportunity to share in this feast of remembrance and reinforcing our commitment to be in daily service to you and those of the faith. May you bless the cup and the bread, as we partake and may it cleanse our spiritual bodies. AMEN!
